It takes a lot of talent to get noticed while bowling alongside the legendary West Indian pair of fast bowlers – Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose. Kenny Benjamin was lucky enough to get the opportunity to do the same in international cricket.
Playing for West Indies in a Test match against England, Benjamin, was bowling to Mike Watkinson. Well, at least he thought so.
Probably overawed by the occasion, Benjamin went back and began to run towards the batsman without the ball. But, midway through his run up he realized that he had forgotten to collect the ball from the umpire.
Finishing his run up with his arms open in the air, Benjamin stopped beside the umpire, who then gave him the ball so the match could continue.
Certainly a moment that brought plenty of laughs from those involved and watching. Relive the incident in the video above.
