Tasmania won a thrilling match against South Australia yesterday with one ball remaining in Ryobi Cup, Australia’s domestic 50-over tournament.
Despite Michael Klinger’s hundred in the 1st innings, Tasmania reached the last over, needing 7 runs off the last 6 balls and 2 wickets remaining.
The bowler, Kane Richardson then missed an extremely easy chance to run-out Ben Laughlin at the non-striker’s end, which would have left Tasmania just one wicket away from defeat. Not a matter to laugh at for Richardson, this was one hilarious miss:
Tasmania sealed the victory off the 5th ball by taking a single, Ben Laughlin making 34 off 17 deliveries.
