In the first Ashes Test of the 2013-14 series, which was eventually won by the home team 5-0, at Gabba, Australian captain Michael Clarke, speaking to James Anderson who had to be stopped by the umpires from entering into arguments with the opposition players, said: “Get ready for a broken f**king arm.”
While no arms were broken by the end of the series, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson did make sure he did even more damage than what a broken arm would have done: ending careers, humiliating world class players and leaving scars that would last forever.
