Just when Mitchell Johnson was about to deliver a ball in an Ashes match in Australia last year, England batsman Kevin Pietersen backed away citing some problem with the side-screen. The Australian pacer immediately showed what he thought of the move by just throwing the ball down; unlike the Indian Premier League (IPL) incident that followed involving Mitchell Starc and Kieron Pollard, Johnson’s attempt was well wide of the batsman.
Following which, there were heated exchanges between the two.
