Against a batting line-up that possessed the likes of Marcus Trescothick, Michael Vaughan and Andrew Flintoff, the Indian team, after a disappointing start to the tournament, needed to find inspiration from somewhere to snatch a victory: Mohammad Kaif, one of India’s best fielders ever, provided a Jonty Rhodes-esque moment to see England one man down, which spurred India to a mammoth 83-run victory.
