If there was one quote to sum up the feeling of friendship, the aforementioned would be it. Friendship is one of the most necessary things in a man's life. True friends are what makes life worth living.
However, does a relationship between friends change if one or the other achieves celebrity status?
In the above video by McDowell's No1 Soda, Mahendra Singh Dhoni clearly states that becoming a celebrity has not affected his #No1Yaari with his friends.
This beautiful 3-minute video charts through Dhoni's life long before he achieved his demigod status till now, where he goes to attend his friend's wedding and relive the old days when all of them were growing up.
It starts off with Dhoni's friends Seemant Lohani aka Chittu and Paramjit Singh aka Chottu Bhaiyya struggling to make tea. Mahi, as MS Dhoni is fondly called, enters in typical Dhoni fashion by mocking Chittu before embracing his two friends and even volunteering to make tea.
After a much-awaited reunion, the trio re-visit their childhood days by taking digs at each other and playing cricket using makeshift stumps at the venue to relive their 'Asli Yaari'.
At one point, they even take advantage of MS Dhoni’s massive fan following by getting a discount for the furniture for the wedding by luring the salesman with a selfie with the star himself.
At the end of the video, while reminiscing about the childhood, they start talking about how things have changed despite all the fun that they still have. Mahi, however, insists things remain the same despite all the years gone past and the changes in their lives as the trio embrace each other in an emotional hug.
This little story perfectly describes what friendship means to us and roping in Dhoni to tell the tale of a celebrity's friendship being no different than others is a masterstroke by McDowell's No1 Soda.
