Television host Piers Morgan, who has made news in cricketing circles for being an unapologetic critic of English cricket captain Alastair Cook, has proven that he is no mug when it comes to actually playing the game.
The former CNN anchor, bowling his gentle off-spin, dismissed West Indian great Brian Lara before hitting the former international captain for a six and four from the last two deliveries to win the match for his side Morgan IX who were playing against Lara XI in a charity game. The match was organised by former England all-rounder Sir Ian Botham and the Caribbean Premier League.
There was more fun as cricketer-turned-commentator Danny Morrison, another member of Morgan’s XI, showed his dancing moves after picking up a wicket.
