Video: Prithvi Shaw, the teenage sensation from Mumbai

A brief chat with Prithvi on his cricket and life.

Mumbaikar Prithvi Shaw has turned into an overnight sensation with a brilliantly strokeful 546 in 367 minutes off 330 balls. Shaw scored 85 boundaries and five sixes as he eclipsed the mark of 498, set by Armaan Jaffer in the Harris Shieldlast year.Dadabhoy Havewala held the record for the highest score by an Indian, making 515 during the 1933-34 season.

But the 546 was only sufficient to lift Prithvi to the third highest score among the schoolboys. The highest score by a batsman is held by AEJ Collins, who scored a handy 628 not out in England during 1899. CJ Eady also struck 566 in another competitive match considering the last of these was in 1901.

Harris Shield is a renowned tournament for school children and the same school where Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli shared a world record 664 runs.
