Pakistan’s Zulfiqar Babar produced a dream delivery to get rid of Kane Williamson in the 2nd Test between Pakistan and New Zealand in Dubai today.
The ball was nicely flighted on the leg stump and then viciously spun to hit the New Zealand batsman’s off stump.
With this dismissal, Pakistan thought they had a chance of bundling out the Kiwis batting line-up quickly, but the visitors remained defiant to finish day 1 on 243/3, mainly due to a splendid century from opener Tom Latham.
The hosts lead 1-0, having won the first Test at Abu Dhabi by a comfortable margin of 248 runs.
New Zealand seem to be putting up a much stronger fight here and Brendon McCullum will be hopeful that they can sustain their day 1 performance for all 5 days.
