Video: Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma dance at Yuvraj Singh's wedding in Goa

Unless you have been living under a rock, you must be aware of the amount of buzz generated by Yuvraj Singh’s marriage to British-born model, Hazel Keech, now Gurbasant Kaur. With cricket meeting Bollywood, the excitement is quite understandable among the fans.

After getting married with Sikh customs at a Chandigarh on November 30, the two completed tied the knot according to Hindu traditions in Goa. The wedding in Chandigarh was held at Fatehgarh Sahib, close to the city.

Present at the wedding, apart from a number of current cricketers, was Indian Test captain Virat Kohli, with his companion, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Forever in the shutterbugs’ spotlight, Kohli and Anushka attended the function after being spotted together at the Goa airport. Kohli graced the occasion in a blue sherwani, while Anushka was seen wearing a black and gold lehenga.

Post the wedding, a huge reception has been planned for December 7. However, the Indian team members are expected to give the ceremony a miss, as they are due to play the English team in the fourth Test of the ongoing Test series in Mumbai.

Other high-profile attendees included Kohli’s teammate Rohit Sharma along with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and actor/VJ Rannvijay, all of whom posed for pictures with the newly wedded couple.

At the end of the wedding, Yuvraj and Hazel shook a leg together, much to the cheer of those present at the venue. Later in the evening, the newly-wed couple cut a cake together to mark the occasion. Post the ceremony, Yuvraj Singh was seen shaking a leg with Virat Kohli, as the two combined to create their own rendition of the “Gangnam-style” dance.

Although not currently part of Team India’s plans, Yuvraj Singh continues to be one of the most popular cricketers in the country. He last donned the India colours against Australia in the World T20 fixture at his home ground in Mohali, where he got injured and missed the first half of the IPL.

Kohli and gang, riding high on their twin victories in Visakhapatnam and Mohali, now head to Mumbai for the penultimate match of the series. Having taken an unassailable lead, the team appeared in a jovial mood during the Chandigarh leg of the wedding, having got a 10-day breather before the fourth Test commences on December 8th.
