Indian batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar shared a laugh with current Test captain Virat Kohli on Twitter after the young captain was announced as the new co-owner of the International Premier Tennis League’s (IPTL) United Arab Emirates Royals team.

Tendulkar asked Kohli: “Hey, Virat Kohli, I want to play!”. Kohli replied back in a trolling manner saying: “Not sure you have what it takes Sachin paaji.

Kohli joined the IPTL bandwagon yesterday when he became the co-owner of the United Arab Emirates Royals, which will be led by Swiss great Roger Federer, reported TOI.

"I have always followed tennis with great interest and today I am glad to be part of a professional tennis league team," Kohli said. "I am a huge fan of Roger Federer and with him joining the UAE Royals, my decision to be on board with the team was firm. The UAE Royals feature some of tennis' greatest players and I am confident about the prospects of the team in the IPTL. I am also excited about the format of the IPTL, which I am sure will drive further interest in the game of tennis."

The tournament is into its second edition and it is scheduled to start from December 2, 2015.
