Nothing 'Wrogn' with Virat Kohli on Twitter: Indian cricketer launches his own menswear brand

Virat Kohli bombarded Twitter with cryptic tweets, promoting his new menswear brand ‘Wrogn’

The reason for Virat Kohli’s cryptic tweets has finally been revealed. The word ‘Wrogn’ in Kohli’s tweets was not a case of spelling error, but is the name of the Indian cricketer’s new menswear brand.

Kohli, Indian cricket’s stylish star, has a huge fan following for two obvious reasons: The huge amount of runs he scores on the field, and for sporting the most charming looks among sportspersons.

While the Delhi lad has been having a fair share of advertising revenues from the numerous brand he endorses, the player has decided to make use of his superstar image by launching his own menswear brand, ‘Wrogn’ (pronounced as wrong).

Speaking on the development, Anjana Reddy, managing director of ‘Wrogn’ said the 26-year-old is constantly involved in the making of this fashion brand.

"Though Virat is not a designer, he's actively involved in the design process and styling," Anjana told GQ India. "In fact, when we were shooting the campaign, the stylist wanted to try a layered look on him. He instantly said, "Nobody in India wears two shirts and then throws a jacket on top, guys here like to keep it simple." And that's the direction we went in," she added.

Wrogn is to be launched in February, 2015 with retailing on Shoppers' Stop outlets and also available online at Myntra.com. The prices are expected to be in the range of Rs. 1500 (Indian Rupees).

Before the news was revealed in media, the cricketer kept the social media busy with some strange tweets from his official Twitter handle:

Kohli’s latest tweet, at the time of publishing this news, hinted at an explanation, but the cat is already out of the bag.
