Sehwag has been smashing sixes in Twitter too

Indian batting legend Virender Sehwag is quite well known for his witty Twitter updates and he did it again on Friday morning by wishing former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad on his birthday with a hilarious post.Prasad who turned 47 today was India’s leading paceman during the late nineties. He was also a part of Mohammad Azharuddin’s team at the 1996 World Cup which was jointly hosted by Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka.

India exited the competition after losing to Sri Lanka in the semi-finals where the Indian bowlers were hammered all over the ground. But prior to the Sri Lanka game, Prasad had picked up match-winning figures of 3/45 in his 10 overs against Pakistan in the quarterfinals. Perhaps his best scalp that day was opener Aamir Sohail whom he castled after the former had carted him to the ropes and gestured him to go and pick the ball.

“Hpy Bday Venkatesh. The Prasad u gave all Indians by getting Aamir Sohail bowled in 96WC is still fresh in our hearts,” Sehwag posted on Twitter reminding social network users about the incident some 20 years back.

Prasad featured in 33 Tests for India where he picked up 98 wickets at an average of 35.00. In one-day internationals he had bagged 196 wickets from 161 games. This is not the first time Sehwag has posted something which has had the Twitterati in splits.

A few days back when star shuttler Saina Nehwal had won the Australian Open Championship. Sehwag had posted:” @NSaina May more success keep kissing your feet ,the way you keep kissing these Trophies #RioMeinJio #SainaNehwal”

And his tweets are not only limited to sports. Sehwag also had posted about how Wi Fi has been affecting lives. In one of his tweets he had written: "Aankhein band karne Se nahi, tension free hone Se nahi, thakne Se bhi nahi, Aaj ke zamaane me to WiFi band karne Se hi neend aati hai (These days we sleep not by closing our eyes, being tension free or getting tired but only when the Wi-Fi is turned off)"

The former India batsman has more often than not found different ways of having fun and with the Olympics starting today, one would ideally get to see more of his laugh out loud posts on the social networking site.
