"Lot of preparations come into play when I prepare for a particular match. I try to play aggressively in nets so that I can take the momentum in the match also. I watch videos of the opposition and their bowlers before a match and analyse a bowler to play him well," Dhawan said, while speaking at the function.

The 30-year-old southpaw also mentioned that he loved playing the shortest format of the game. "Always enjoyed playing T20 cricket. T20 has reached new heights now and the game has also given back to the players a lot.

“The range of new shorts and applications in the game has some in T20 cricket only. This is why youngsters are so interested in the shortest format of the game," he said.

The champions of the inaugural tournament held in 2007, India will begin their campaign against New Zealand at Nagpur on March 15, followed a game against the arch-rivals, Pakistan in Dharamshala on March 19.

India would then play the qualifier from Group A on March 23 and would finally conclude their group stage matches against Australia on March 27.
