Wife Sakshi Dhoni's message to MS Dhoni after WT20 elimination [Update: wasn't Sakshi's actual account]

Update: Sakshi has later confirmed on social media that it wasn’t her actual account which was found quoting the earlier reported news, but that she appreciated the gesture nevertheless.

Despite India’s narrow loss to West Indies in the semi-final at Wankhede on Thursday, there has been a show of support for the Men in Blue from corners of the country. Captain MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi was at the stadium, alongside Rohit Sharma’s wife, as the hosts fell just short.

There has been great maturity shown by the country in dealing with the defeat, the elimination from a trophy that many thought had the hosts’ name written on it. Voicing the rest of the country, Sakshi posted a message for her husband on Facebook right after the match:

“Always with you Mahi. Bleed blue forever. We love you Team India whether you win or lose. You gave us happy memories last month and pulled off miracles. You made us smile many times. Losing is not the end of the world. We love you captain.”

It looked as if India had the game in the bag when Jasprit Bumrah castled Chris Gayle with a beautiful yorker in the second over, but a partnership between Johnson Charles and Lendl Simmons took West Indies to victory.
