Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav flagged off in 5 cities across Rajasthan

The Wonder Cemet Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav was flagged off at 5 cities across Rajasthan yesterday

The Wonder Cement Saath7 Cricket Mahotsav was flagged off in Rajasthan yesterday, with the event announcing the beginning of registrations and informing people of the regulations that need to be kept in mind before taking part. In what was a unique concept, the Saath7 van roamed around different cities, interacted with the general public, distributed registrations forms and told them what they needed to do enroll their team for the event.

The Saath7 intiative is an attempt to reach out to all the cricket lovers in Rajasthan and to try and encourage the participation of youngsters in the tournament so that the sport receives a boost at the grassroots level. The tournament is expected to attract 39,680 cricket enthusiasts from across 248 tehsils in the state. The initiative also encourages the participation of women, with the rules such that a team gets seven extra runs if a girl is part of the team.

The event is centred around the whole of Rajasthan and was simultaneously flagged off in 5 main cities – Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur and Kota, with Mr. Vivek Patni, the Director of Wonder Cement, inaugurating the event in Udaipur and spoke to the media.

If you are based in Rajasthan, this is the time for you to register for the event here! The dates for registration are open from the 24th of November to the 7th of December. The tournament will run from the 26th of December 2015 to the 17th of January 2016.
