Pakistan have been affected by injuries ahead of the ODI series

With the 1st ODI all set to begin tomorrow against Bangladesh at Dhaka, Pakistan have suffered another setback with Yasir Shah being ruled out with an injury after he was hit on his left thumb. 36-year-old left arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar will be replacing him in the squad and might even feature in the playing XI straightaway.

They already lost Sohail Khan and Sohaib Maqsood at a time when they are looking for a fresh start post the quarterfinal elimination from the recently concluded World Cup. Yasir Shah played against India in that tournament and was dropped after bowling an expensive spell. He needed three stitches after getting hit during Pakistan’s practice match against BCB XI in Fatullah.

Babar last played for Pakistan late last year and didn’t make it to the 15 man World Cup squad.
