Nationwide cycling event, "I ride with India", to flag off on 6th September

"I Ride with India" is the first ever nationwide cycling event in which cyclists from all over India will be riding together at the same time to promote cycling. The ride is scheduled on 6th September 2015 at 6:30 am and will be held in 100 cities and close to 200 venues. The ride is an initiative of Cycling India, a nation-wide cycling promotion body, who is conducting it in association with many other organizations.

Till date, more than 33 cities have already registered with Cycling India to host the event in their city. Various organizations, both cycling and non-cycling have come forward to be part of this great initiative.

Some major ones are as listed Indian Medical Association (Delhi), Greenpedia Bike Share Pvt. Ltd. (Ahmedabad), Delhi Cyclists (Delhi), Bangalore Cyclists Group (Bangalore), Hyderabad Bicycling Club (Hyderabad), Cymour Cycling (Pune), Hubli Bicycle Group (Hubli), Bathinda Cyclists Group (Bathinda), Bikers Club Jodhpur (Jodhpur).

The last date for cities to register is still two weeks to go. More than 12,000 riders will be part of this event.

Riders from all over India have applauded the initiative. Meru Kothari, Mumbai wrote, “The thought of such a brilliant event itself is a wonderful initiative. Definitely looking forward to be a part of history in making.”
