Cricket games in the past have released quite a lot of games under promising names. Games like Ashes Cricket 2009, Brian Lara Cricket 2007 have had good responses among the cricket maniacs. With another high profile title, Tru Blu Entertainment and Big Ant Studios are here with their new venture Don Bradman Cricket 14.

This time it’s different as the name itself is an icon in the world of cricket. Involving a heavy weight endorsement, the game will release on Xbox and PS3 platforms on April 3, 2013 with the Microsoft PC version to come out after two months. CEO Ross Symons passion for the game and willingness to self fund the project was the basis of the game’s development as it took five year’s of effort to make it possible.

Big Ant Studios hosted a public premiere of the game at EB Games on Swanston Street in Melbourne on November 7, 2013. So what changes can we expect under Big Ant’s Logo? Below we take a detailed look.

Important Features :

  • Unlike the past games this will be the first one to feature a full career mode allowing you to take control of an aspiring young cricketer and built in player creator with a complete player physics system including alterable individual attributes.
  • Online Multiplayer mode will be benefiting to players as they can save their ongoing matches and resume whenever they want to.
  • Players can make the decision to stand or walk away in real time which will influence the umpire’s judgement.
  • A switch able option between first-person and broadcast camera along with dynamic weather, pitch degradation and day and night features will also be available
  • Fielding side can run down the ball and slide to prevent a four, catch a high ball on the boundary rope, or knock down the stumps to bring about a run out.
  • Video replays controlled by the user to be introduced.

System Requirements :

The PC release is still due two months with Big Ants revealing the minimum and maximum system requirements.

Release Dates :

The PS3 and Xbox version will release in Australia and New Zealand on April 3, 2014

It will also distributed to South Africa, Singapore, India and the UK on the 11th of April, 2014.

The PC version with steam engine for Microsoft platform is set to come out sometime in June 2014.
