Grand Theft Auto V will not have a pre-release beta

There will be no pre release beta for Grand Theft Auto V on PS4, Xbox One or PC, announced Rockstar. This announcement seems to be aimed at stopping a number of scams that have made their way across the Internet over the last few days.

This seems to have gone so bad that Rockstar had to announce that the need to create a unique website to inform their consumers. The site says “Please note: There is no pre-release “Beta” test for Grand Theft Auto V. If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program, beware as this is likely some type of online phishing scam.”

This news has been a good one so far as it will help steer consumers away from the fake offers, it does seem unfortunate though that rockstar will not be offering a beta program, considering the poor state that GTA: Online launched in, as it seems like some extra testing would be a good idea heading into the new-gen and PC release.

However the platform has become more stable recently though it is still missing many of the promised features, like Heists. We just hope that the new release wont bring back the sudden influx of new players.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th, with the PC version coming on January 27th 2015.
