Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PC vs PS4 comparison, enhancements provided by Nvidia

After the recent reveal of Kojima Productions Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for the PC, Nvidia has released the first HD screenshots of the upcoming title.

Nvidia has also listed the enhancements which will be available for the PC edition and has even provided an interactive comparison tool (example 1example 2) for players to see the difference between the PC edition and the Sony PS4 versions of the game.

According to the Nvidia Blog this will be the "first game in the mainline series to launch on PC since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty in 2003,".

In Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, you will play as the world renowned special forces solider named ‘Snake’. The episode features a quest to rescue hostages form a Cuban military base and regular features of the franchise are missions for Snake which require a tactical approach and stealthiness.

The game has been around for a long while now and has garnered a huge fan base. The game utilizes the ‘FOX Engine’ this time and a followup title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will also use this outing.

Here is a list of enhancements provided by Nvidia for the PC version of the game:

  • 60 FPS frame rate
  • Additional deferred lights per scene
  • Additional shadows per scene
  • Higher-resolution render targets
  • Higher-resolution shadows
  • Increased detail over distances
  • NVIDIA SLI Multi-GPU support
  • Options to adjust seven graphics features (Effects, Lighting, Screen Filtering, Shadows, Texture Filtering, Textures)
  • Resolution support up to and including 3840x2160 (4K)
  • Screen Space Reflections

Check out the full list of specifications provided by Konami last week for the PC edition. Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes for the PC is slated to release on December 18th, 2014.
