Xbox One November update

Xbox One November update

Xbox One is to get another update this November which will add custom backgrounds, enhanced gamer profiles, new TV features, along with much more. The console was last updated just this very month. However, the users love the montlhy updates, compared to PS4 users whose console hardly receives any.

Microsoft details that the new update will allow Xbox One owners to select a custom colour or use unlocked achievement art as their console's background. In addition to this, the Xbox One media player will be updated later this month, which will allow the use of any image as background art for the users console. Also, the update will allow you to add six of your favourite game clips or achievements to your "showcase", and this will be visible on your profile page. You will also now be able to Tweet game clips directly from your Xbox One.

Furthermore, there is also a "What's On" section which has been added to the dashboard between the "Friends" and "Store" tab. This section will feature popular YouTube videos, TV shows, movies, and Twitch broadcasts. OneGuide also has a new section included which will allow you to see what TV shows are trending on Twitter, as well as within the Xbox community.

Last of all, the November update cleans up the store pages on Xbox One, which makes it easier to browse and discover content. The store's categories have also been standardized, allowing a cleaner interface.

At present the update is rolling out to Xbox One preview members, and will be available to all sometime next month. You can find the full list of updates over on Major Nelson's blog.
