We’re happy to see some real racing again after a four month hiatus, and I’m sure you will be too.

In the fast moving world of F1, Alonso heads to 2010 F1 curtain raiser in Bahrain as bookie’s favourite to clinch the driver’s championship at the end of the season . Ferrari had a strong pre-season testing and the Ferrari F10 seems to have shrugged the reliability issues it had in the last few seasons.

Driving for Ferrari legend was a dream for Alonso which has come true this season. After two difficult years at Renault, Fernando Alonso has finally got the dream seat and previous tough years have only increased his hunger to fight for more championships.

Fernando Alonso is virtuous, ambitious, passionate, outspoken and disdainful of off-track politics. He is intensely engaged in achieving the best. He is self assured and a risk taker. He has seen highest joys by beating arguably the best driver ever Michael Schumancher for two seasons and winning driver’s championship twice. He has also witnessed betrayals in his time with Mclaren (Lewis Hamilton recently admitted to mis-read team targets in 2007).

Ferrari needed a better development driver and Fernando Alonso fits the bill perfectly. Fernando Alonso once claimed to bring 0.7 s to a car in the development stage. Though an exceptional driver, Kimi Raikkonen was introvert and sometimes indifferent to Ferrari development team who worked for nearly a decade with Michael Schumacher.

With the rule changes for 2010 , the grid is predicted be closest in recent years. Four teams are expected to be in a position to fight for championship. So it will be early to say who is going to clinch the title.

I am putting my money on Fernando Alonso. Who do you think will out-muscle him for the title?
