Lewis Hamilton determined to bounce back

Lewis Hamilton celebrates victory on the Podium in Hungary

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who stunned everybody after putting his car on pole for four consecutive races between the British Grand Prix and the Belgian Grand Prix, made a shock exit from Q2 at the Italian Grand Prix. He is now determined to bounce back and score more points even though he has fallen 81 points behind Championship leader Sebastian Vettel.

The Briton, who finished in 9th at Monza, said: “We’ve had a tough couple of weekends in Belgium and Italy but I know that everyone at the team is determined to bounce back and make the most of the opportunities over the last seven races of the season.”

His teammate Nico Rosberg, who had a better race in Monza to finish in 6th said: “The track should suit our car so I hope we can have a good weekend there. My best finish in Singapore to date has been second place back in 2008 and, of course, I would love to improve on that.”

Hamilton has scored one victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix, whereas his teammate Rosberg won the Monaco GP and the Singapore GP.
