Lewis Hamilton retook the lead of the drivers standings with an emphatic victory at the Singapore Grand Prix ahead of the Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo. However, the other side of the Mercedes garage were left to contemplate Rosberg's DNF due to an apparent electrical problem. Jean Eric Vergne charged through the field on fresh set of tyres at the end of the race while a double points finish for Force India elevated the Silverstone squad to fifth in the standings.
