100 days to go: FIFA President Blatter looks forward to 2014 FIFA World Cup kick-off

Today, March 4, 2014 marks 100 days until the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks-off in Brazil and on this occasion FIFA President Sepp Blatter spoke to FIFA.com about his expectations and what will make the tournament so special.

“All problems are under control and it will be, in 100 days, an exceptionally good start for an exceptional competition – FIFA’s World Cup in Brazil, the country of football.”

“They (Brazilians) will receive this competition with open arms and full of heart,” Sepp Blatter added.

Important words from the FIFA president on the tournament in Brazil about which doubts remain due to the problems in preparations of the venues, social unrest and the high rate of crime.

But on the other side, Brazil is a football nation and all their problems hopefully will be forgotten and the country puts its best foot forward to receive the world and be good hosts rather than just focus on winning the tournament.
