Scoring truck loads of goals and winning the Golden Boot will get you a lot of recognition and awards. But when it comes to performing and playing games every single week, the managers will always turn to certain players to deliver the goods.

This list (compiled with stats from WhoScored), shows the players managers have played the most in Europe’s top five leagues – the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Seria A and Ligue 1.

A detailed look at the stats suggest that Southampton’s Adam Lallana and Lille’s Salomon Kalou were the most reliable players last season. Valladolid’s Javi Guerra also makes it to the top three in terms of goals and assists combined.

Max Kruse and Halil Altintop get a special mention in this list because, even though they played only 34 games, the Bundesliga has only 18 teams. They are the only two players to have played every single game of the season while contributing to at least 10 goals.

The table has been sorted based on number of games started and total contribution.
