According to a TOI report, the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil will have India’s biggest-ever contingent of fans and journalists.

FIFA have confirmed that as many as 2662 tickets have been allocated to residents of India while 27 journalists, including two photographers, have been accredited for the tournament.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will also receive up to 290 tickets as per the quota of every non-playing member association.

AIFF take up requests from various state associations although the tickets for the semi-finals and final are generally given to executive committee members and I-League clubs.
