Abneet Bharti agrees terms with Polish top division club TS Podbeskidzie

Abneet Bharti will move to TS Podkbeskidie

16-year-old Indian youngster Abneet Bharti has agreed terms with Polish top division club TS Podbeskidzie to sign for them. He had been on trial with them in the last week, but the signing was only announced today.

This deal had made him the youngest Indian football player to sign for a top division European Club. He previously played for Spanish second division team Real Valladolid. He also previously had trials with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and a few second division German clubs.

Since he is a minor and his parents moved to Poland, under FIFA rules he can't play elsewhere. While he was playing for Real Valladolid scouts from all over Europe were interested in him and some clubs such as RSC Anderlecht even offered him contracts but he couldn’t accept them.

There is also a rumour that Anderlecht are still monitoring his progress and they want to sign him when he turns 18. That's why he started looking for Polish clubs and that’s when TS Podbeskidzie invited him over for a trial. They were so impressed by him that they offered him a straight 3-year contract, but he only wanted a 2-year contract because he wanted to play in the Bundesliga once he is 18.

TS Podbeskidzie are a newly promoted side who will be playing their first-ever season in the top division. They have signed a very lucrative sponsorship deal with a top company in Poland which will make them one of the richest clubs in Poland. They will be starting their season this Saturday.
