Adidas presents new Russian national football team kit for FIFA World Cup 2014

In the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil, adidas is proud to present the new Russian National Team home kit which is the lightest one ever created by adidas. Original features of the outfit include a printed tribute to the Conquerors of Space celebrating Russia’s great space achievements, three adidas golden stripes and the Flag of Russia.

The shirts and shorts bear a distinctive mark depicting the gold double-headed eagle. These colors symbolize the royal combination of gold on maroon.

As the official Russian National Team kit provider, adidas has created a unique kit that will help players achieve better results. The revolutionary adizero technology produces a thin flexible material, enabling the outfit to become 40% lighter and the footballers to become even faster on pitch. The outfit ensures freedom of movement while enhancing precision and power. Compression and stretch breathable materials extend in strategic places providing the muscles with necessary support.

The design was inspired by the great achievements of Soviet cosmonauts during 1960s, their results now displayed at the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow.
