Adnan Januzaj declares for Belgium

After almost a 6 month long will he won’t he saga, Adnan Januzaj has decided to play for Belgium, thus offering himself a chance to play at the World Cup in Brazil.

Januzaj was born in Belgium to Kosovan parents, and was eligible to play for Belgium, Kosovo, Albania and Serbia through his heritage. England was also one of the countries interested in him, as he has been in England since the age of 16, and could have been eligible to play for the Three Lions in the future.

The Belgian coach, Marc Wilmots conveyed the decision of the 19 year old prodigy on his Twitter account, and so brought to an end a very long running saga.

With this, Belgium now have the chance to include another great attacking talent to their already burgeoning mix of players, and possibly enhance their prospects at the World Cup.

Januzaj has had a breakthrough season at Manchester United, as he has made a total of 31 appearances for the club, and also scored 4 goals.
