Former Romanian International Adrian Mutu shared a comedy story about Zlatan Ibrahimovic during an interview with Romanian website Costin Desliu. The 36-year-old was very casual and funny in a candid interview, where he reminisced about his playing days.

When asked about who he thought was the best player in the world, the Romanian admitted that he had shared locker rooms with some of the best talent, but singled out Zlatan in his reply. The forward, who formerly played for Chelsea, admitted that he and Zlatan got along very well and often shared rooms whenever the Bianconeri played away from the Juventus Stadium, before sharing a delightful anecdote about the Big Swede.

“Zlatan’s the best,” said Mutu. “When we were teammates at Juventus, we used to sleep in the same room before games. One night, he woke up.

“Ibra told me: Adi, wake up! I had a nightmare. I dreamed Ronaldo was better than me!

“He only went back to sleep after I’d told him: No, Zlatan, no! You are the best in the world! Calm down!”

Mutu went on to add that Ibrahimovic was one of the few footballers that he has met who is more passionate about the game than him, as the striker was never at peace until he was considered to be one of the best in the world.

The two forwards played together for Juventus from 2004-2006 and won two Serie A titles, which were later taken away due to the Calciopoli scandal. Mutu scored 7 goals in 33 league appearances before a move to Fiorentina, and Ibrahimovic scored 23 goals in 70 league appearances following which he moved to Inter Milan.

Mutu retired in 2014 after an 18-year playing career, while Ibrahimovic is currently plying his trade with Paris Saint Germain, albeit interest from Manchester United.

Zlatan: I’m happy at the club

In an exclusive interview with ESPNFC, Zlatan spoke about his plans for the future, although he reiterated that he is not leaving France this summer.

"I have a contract for another year, so I'm a PSG player, and I'm happy at the club," Ibrahimovic said

"I did great things in these three years and what I did, nobody can take away from me and my team is a fantastic team and I play with great players. I live in the best city in Europe, so I'm enjoying it.

"So all about future talks and that, I mean, there will always be talks, and I'm happy for the interest, but I'm a PSG player."
