Charlie Morgan winces after allegedly being kicked by Eden Hazard

Charlie Morgan, the Swansea ball boy who was embroiled in the controversy involving Eden Hazard in the Capital One Cup tie between Chelsea and Swansea, has been banned from the Wales-Austria international match.

The 17-year-old was selected as one of the ballboys to feature in the game, but the Football Association of Wales decided against it.

Donald Murray, Rangers club secretary, said: “The FAW fella said, panic-stricken, ‘God no, he can’t be one of them!’

Murray also added, “He’s portrayed as a spoilt nancy boy but it couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Ever since the incident occurred, a lot of criticism has come the way of both Eden Hazard and ballboy Charlie Morgan, who is the son of Swansea president Martin Morgan.

Hazard has already been banned for three games by the FA and may serve a longer ban depending on investigations from an independent committee.

There will certainly be a few fans who will welcome the news of Morgan also getting banned.
