Anderson retracts his comments on players wanting to leave Manchester United

Anderson takes back his comments.

Daniele Dessena (R) of Cagliari and Anderson of Fiorentina compete for the ball during the Serie A match between Cagliari Calcio and ACF Fiorentina at Stadio Sant’Elia on February 1, 2014 in Cagliari, Italy.

Anderson, who completed his move to Italian club Fiorentina from Premier League champions Manchester United last week, has denied his statement about his several team mates at Old Trafford wanting to leave the club.

Anderson revealed in a press conference last week in Florence that he was not the only player keen on leaving the Premier League champions.

“I am sure that lots of players want out,” he claimed. “Especially people like myself and Nani, who have been in Manchester for seven or eight years. Manchester United is a huge club, a club that does everything for its players, but sometimes a footballer wants to leave just to experience a different way to play football and to learn something as well.”

However, he later denied about being in any kind of an interview through his Instagram account.

When asked for his comments on Anderson’s statement, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville said he would be stunned if the story had any truth. However, Jamie Carragher argued that it is quite possible.
