After his transfer to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg was confirmed by both the clubs, Andre Schurrle left a special message for what is now his former club, Chelsea and their supporters through a post on his Instagram profile.
The German International had joined Chelsea back in 2013 from Bayer Leverkusen but has since then failed to secure his position in the first team. His switch to Wolfsburg will see him return to the German first division yet again.
Posting a photo of himself in the Chelsea shirt, the 24-year-old wrote, “I want to thank everyone at Chelsea FC for the amazing time I had at this great club!! It’s been a real pleasure to wear this shirt!!”
