Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind grateful to United faithful despite mixed results

Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind with Juan Mata: The trio are among the several new players for the Red Devils this season

New recruits Angel Di Maria and Daley Blind have thanked the supporters of their new club Manchester United for making them feel very comfortable in their maiden season for the Red Devils.

Di Maria was signed from Real Madrid earlier this year for a sum of £59.7 million while Blind was bought for £13.8 million from Ajax, last month.

Amazing supporters at the club

“The people here are amazing.” the 26-year old Argentian midfielder told Inside United.

"I feel really comfortable, very happy and really pleased. The way that people treat you really makes you feel good in your heart.” he added.

"I have not really had much of a chance to get to know the city very well, with the move and with my family, but I am really pleased and happy to be here. So far I have just been going to work and then going home.”, the No.7 said.

"When we are coming out after training or after the games, I have had a chance to meet some of the fans and it makes me happy that they love us so much and have got so much affection for us.” Di Maria went on to add.

Putting in my best efforts

He also told that he is giving his very best on the field and expressed his happiness at being treated politely by the fans.

"I am trying to do my best to pay them back when I am on the field, so that the people are happy. They are really polite, they are always saying please and always saying thank you. That is really nice and I am really happy here." he said.

Packed house greets us always

Dutchman Daley Blind also was eager to express his gratitude to the supporters for showing faith in the club’s players and turning up in numbers for the games at Old Trafford. The crowd attendance for the game vs Chelsea on Sunday at the Theatre of Dreams was 75327.

"Having everybody behind you at Old Trafford all the time is great as well.” Blind said.

"The fans are always singing and supporting you. When things aren't going well, they still carry on supporting you and that really pushes you on and makes you want to give your most.” the 24-year old added.
