Back to the Premier League?

Chelsea are plotting a move to sign Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint-German according to Don Balon. The Argentine is eyeing a return to the Premier League because of his growing frustration in Ligue 1.

Di Maria is said to be unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain and is already looking to leave the club he joined in 2015. The winger is reportedly not keen on staying at the club because of Unai Emery.

Paris Saint-German are currently 4th in the Ligue 1 table and are 4 points behind league leaders, Nice who are riding on Mario Balotelli's super hot form. PSG have already suffered 2 defeats - the same as they did in the entire 2015/16 season.

Angel Di Maria wants to return to the Premier League and prove that he can succeed in the United Kingdom. There are several clubs who want him but Chelsea are currently the only club from England who are interested in signing him.

Di Maria had 12 forgettable months at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal when he joined them in the summer of 2014 from Real Madrid. The £64m fee proved to be too heavy for the Argentine to handle and left the club the next summer.

Despite 2014/15 season being one of the worst in Di Maria's career, he had managed to make 11 assists and score 4 goals in his underwhelming performances. Louis van Gaal always played him in the #10 role in most of the matches as that was something the winger always made it clear that he was unhappy with.

Antonio Conte is said to be a big admirer of Di Maria and would love to have him at Stamford Bridge. The former Juventus manager wants to sign a winger soon to put more pressure on Willian and Hazard who only have Pedro and Moses as competitors for their starting XI positions.

Chelsea had a good start to the season but are winless in the league since the end of August. Conte in now under pressure and going by Chelsea's history, it won't be long before he's sacked if this poor form continues.

Willian has had a poor start to this season but Pedro and Moses haven't done enough to prove why they should start ahead of the Brazilian as well. The Chelsea player of the season awardee has scored 1 goal in the 5 Premier League matches and assisted none of the 10 goals scored by The Blues this season.

Paris Saint-german already lost their best player to Manchester United on a free transfer during the summer and might not want to sell Di Maria as well. Apart from Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and several Chinese and MLS clubs are said to be keen on the Argentine winger.
