English giants Arsenal have promoted their commercial executive Vinai Venkatesham to marketing and sales director role following the departure of Angus Kinnear to West Ham.
Venkatesham will be responsible for the marketing division of the club on a day-to-day basis, and he will also retain his control over global partnerships and business strategy team. he will report to the commercial chief of the club, Tom Fox. The move is a direct result of Arsenal’s efforts to monetize a fan base through various brand partnerships and digital strategies.
Meanwhile, Kinnear will take over as the managing director of West Ham in the New Year and will be responsible for the club’s migration to Olympic stadium in 2016.
