Arsenal football club revealed their financial results moments ago.

The Club released a statement highlighting the growth in revenue due to matchday income, broadcasting, commercial and retail revenues.

Match day income increased from £37.8 million to £45.0 million, commercial and retail revenues rose from £27.7 million to £38.4 million, broadcasting revenue was boosted from £40.1 million to £52.0 million.

Property revenues dropped to £2.0 million from £32.3 million, operating profits from property amounted to £0.7 million.

Profit on sale of player registrations dropped to £6.1 million from £42.5 million in 2012.

On the glowing reports, club chairman Sir Chips Keswick said, “When I was appointed chairman last summer, there was good reason to believe that the hard work which has been put in, by many people across the Club, over recent years had created the momentum for a successful season in every aspect of our activities.

“Thus far that optimism has been well-founded. We believe we are in a strong position to take the Club forward both in the short-term and beyond and to deliver future on-field success.”
