Raheem Sterling clears the air on rumoured Arsenal interest

The English international was wanted by Arsene Wenger as a part of the Alexis Sanchez deal, which was a surprise to many given how high Pep Guardiola rates him. Sterling finally opened up on the issue and said:

"I didn't need to speak with him (Guardiola) because I had already spoken to him during the summer about pre-season. I didn't have any negative thoughts or anything bad about it. I just woke up one day with England and saw it, and I didn't believe a word of it until I heard something from the manager, then I would believe it."
"It wasn't something I was worried about because Pep is an honest guy, and he would have spoken to me about it before that. So I didn't need to worry about it, and I didn't think about it, not for one minute."

The winger is in "sterling" form this season and the clarification puts any new transfer rumours to bed for the near future.

Wenger positive about Ozil stay

Arsenal v Burnley - Premier League
Wenger thinks Ozil wants to stay

The German is expected to leave the club in 2018 once his contract runs out and Arsenal have failed to renew his contract so far. However, recent news stated that progress is being made and now Wenger spoke out on the situation. The Arsenal boss told The Mirror:

“I cannot tell you what is in his mind. I genuinely think he wants to stay. But I am always positive about that."

While no assurances can be expected unless Ozil signs a new contract, nevertheless it is a positive sign, especially when compared to Alexis Sanchez's situation, who is expected to leave in January.

Julian Draxler's Instagram post keeps fans guessing

The PSG attacker has been on Arsenal's radar for quite some time now and his latest Instagram post will keep fans guessing. Draxler posted a picture of Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac as an Instagram story, sparking excitement amongst the Gooners.

The German knew Kolasinac from the pair's time at Schalke and it remains to be seen whether the player moves to the Emirates.
