La Liga winners Atletico Madrid have completed their singing of Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic, and the fee is rumoured to be around €20 million.

Atletico’s club director José Luis Pérez Caminero told the club’s official website following the completion of the transfer. He said, “The incorporation of Mario Mandžuki? is great news because he has the features we were looking for to cover this position. He’s a strong forward, with a great high ball control and a powerful shot.”

He added, “It allows us to start pressuring behind the rival from the beginning, because he works hard on playing the ball out of defence. He fits well with his attacking teammates and is used to competing at the highest level. He’s a winner, a player used to win titles. He’ll contribute very much.”

The Croatian had a successful medical in Madrid, and has put his signature to a contract for four years with Atletico Madrid.

Having played 88 matches for Bayern Munich, the 28-year-old has scored 48 goals, and has won the Bundesliga twice, DFB Pokal twice, one UEFA Champions League, one Club World Cup and one DFL Super Cup with the Bavarians.

His place will be taken by former Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, while he will be looking to replace Atletico's former striker Diego Costa, who was signed by Chelsea.

The move was confirmed by Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich on Twitter
