La Liga champions Atletico Madrid have completed the singing of Argentinian forward Angel Correa, the club confirmed on their website.

The statement reads: “Atletico Madrid and San Lorenzo de Almagro, from Argentina’s First Division, have reached an agreement for the transfer of Angel Correa (Rosario, March 9, 1995) to our club, pending the young Argentine talent’s successful medical examination. Upon which, the forward will join the club for the next five seasons.”

“Angel Correa arrived at San Lorenzo at just 12 years of age after playing for Alianza Sport and Tiro, and finally debuting in the top flight last year. The young player is known for his speed, talent and skill, which led him to score eight goals and quickly become known as one of the greatest attacking threats of his team.”

The club reached an agreement with Argentinian first division team San Lorenzo, and the player has signed a five-year deal subject to a medical with a fee rumoured to be around €7million.
