Barcelona forward, Luis Suarez, has revealed his displeasure at not killing the game off against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Barcelona took the lead when a set-piece from Neymar was headed in by the Uruguayan in the second half.

Right after, both Neymar and Lionel Messi had a chance, each, to score and finish the game off, but hey failed to grasp it. And the former Liverpool forward believes that it was this inability to convert the chances is what allowed the Blancos to equalize in the dying minutes of the game.

"I think we were superior and we created a lot of chances but when you don't finish and kill the game off, this can happen to you," he was quoted by Marca.

With this draw, the Catalans have failed to close the gap with Real Madrid as they still trail the capital club by a considerable 6 points. The former Ajax man, however, thinks that it is natural for a team to drop points, but the most important thing was that they gave it their best shot.

"We lost two points, we did our best to take all three but in football these things happen, they came good right at the end."

According to replays, Luis Suarez could have just been in an offside position for his goal against the Galacticos. He, however, refused to make a comment on it, claiming that he can’t make a judgment since he was in his position.

"I do not know if it was offside, I cannot tell as I was in position."

With this draw, Real Madrid are still 6 points ahead of their archrivals. As history has shown us, having a 6 point advantage even as early as December has often resulted in the leading team winning the league. Suarez, however, has refused to throw in the towel just yet.

"We know we have to be strong from here, we have to continue and hope that they drop points."

While Barcelona have played most of their difficult fixtures already, the real test for the Whites is still on as they have to face the likes of Sevilla and Real Sociedad in what could be a season-defining run for Zidane’s men.

With a draw against the Catalans, Zinedine Zidane has overtaken Carlo Ancelotti’s record of 33 games unbeaten with Real Madrid and could further extend that number by avoiding defeat against Borussia Dortmund in their next game in the Champions League.
