Vietto is set to become Barcelona’s 5th signing of this transfer window

Barcelona have been very active in this transfer window and according to latest reports from Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto is set to become the Blaugrana's 5th signing this transfer window.

Barcelona have struggled to sign forwards with their technical director Roberto Fernandez stating that players were hesitant to sign because of the famed trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

“We have such a good team that it's difficult to sign players, we have a top team with a brilliant dressing room, have,” said Fernandez. He added to his claim, saying, “Everything is calibrated, but there are certain signings you can't even begin to broach; There are players who don't want to come to Barcelona."

However, Barcelona seem to have found a perfect alternative in Luciano Vietto. The Argentine forward is known for his pace and dribbling skills and is seen as the perfect back-up to MSN by Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

If Vietto signs, he will follow the likes of Denis Suarez, Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne and Andre Gomes to the Camp Nou. Luis Enrique and Barcelona are looking to finish their business early in the transfer market and the arrival of the 22-year-old Atletico Madrid forward will see Barcelona having strengthened in all areas.

Vietto more than welcome at Barcelona – Luis Suarez

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez was asked about the potential arrival of Luciano Vietto and he had only good things to say about the Argentine:

"Vietto is a great player," Suarez said at a news conference. "I really liked him when he played at Villarreal.

"He has not been getting a lot of opportunities at Atletico, but there is no doubt about his quality. He is a player who could add a lot.

"Whichever attacker arrives is more than welcome, because he will contribute a lot to our objectives of winning titles."

The Uruguay international also spoke about new arrival Andre Gomes:

"Andre Gomes will helps us a lot and brings a lot to the team," he added.

"He was one of Valencia's most eye-catching players. We are very happy to have a player like him in our team."

Barcelona are really building a formidable team and Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and the other Spanish teams will have to really make some shrewd signings if they are to challenge the Blaugrana next season.
