Post Barcelona’s 2-2 draw against Getafe at the Camp Nou, midfielder Xavi Hernandez insists that the season is done for.
“We’re f****d,” he was quoted on Goal. “We didn’t have a good season, luck was not on our side and we were not competitive in many aspects. Despite the Supercopa de Espana win, we must wipe this season clear.”
“We’re not doing well because our season hasn’t been a good one. We started off on the right foot by winning the Super Cup, but we weren’t competitive in a lot of aspects throughout the season,” Xavi told reporters in his post-match interview, “hasn’t been at the required level, we’ve had terrible season and now we have to be critical of ourselves.”
“A miracle has to happen in order for us to win La Liga, it’s practically impossible. We have to improve a lot of things, be critical with ourselves, and get ready for next year.”
Barcelona are now three points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid who have a match in hand.
