Barcelona's tactics leaked to Spanish press; Enrique steps up search for the mole

Enrique has been betrayed

Barcelona have not been in the best of form in recent weeks having two unexpected losses and also struggling to win the game against Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League.

A lot of that has been put down to a lack of form and more recently the absence of Lionel Messi. But there might be one more reason that came to light recently and that is a leak of tactics and set piece plans that Enrique had drawn up in the dressing room

The leak was published in a Spanish newspaper called Mundo Deportivo. They managed to publish the original documents and even the tactics of the German team last month and Gladbach apparently were able to use that to their advantage.

There was no harm done as Barca came unscathed in that game but it has probably cost them points in the league. Luis Enrique is reportedly fuming over the matter and wants the mole to be found immediately.

According to Sport, the leak was by one of the members of Enrique’s trusted inner circle which is why the manager feels completely betrayed by the incident. This is no small matter and the coach wants this resolved as soon as possible.

The mole has also leaked details about a series of meetings and conversations that were supposed to stay within the confines of the dressing room. But now this leak means Barcelona will have to go back to square one.

Enrique also has strained relationship with the media and has reportedly had an outburst in one of his conferences at the Nou Camp. Barcelona have so far lost games against Celta Vigo and Alaves in la Liga and also drew with Atletico Madrid.

Lionel Messi missed both of Argentina’s qualifiers through injury but is expected to return against Deportivo this Saturday fo the Catalans. The Argentine showed the amount of dependence his teammates have on the player.

Samuel Umtiti has been another big miss for Barcelona. They have been leaking goals left right and centre against teams they should be comfortably beating and is the reason for their unusual position in the league table.

Mascherano and Mathieu don’t seem to be as capable as the Frenchman was in his first few games for the club and he will surely be a starter once he's back and fully fit. Barca are currently 4th in La Liga and face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League next week.
