London, Dec 29 (IANS) Bermudian striker Nahki Wells netted his first goal in almost two months as Huddersfield hit back to end Bolton's eight-match unbeaten run with a 2-1 English Championship victory.

Wells, 24, came off the bench with 14 minutes remaining Sunday to guarantee the three points with his 10th goal of the season but first since he scored in a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest Nov 1, reported CMC.

Darren Pratley gave Bolton the lead after just 41 seconds, lashing the ball in off the underside of the crossbar from the edge of the area.

Jacob Butterfield levelled for the home side with a half-volley two minutes before the break.

Substitute Wells then won it with a low finish under goalkeeper Andy Lonergan on 85 minutes after racing on to a Jonathan Hogg through ball to inflict Bolton's first defeat since Oct 31.

Huddersfield's first victory in four matches helped them move up to 18th in the Championship table while Bolton slipped one place to 15th.
