Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has reaffirmed his faith in Cristiano Ronaldo by saying that the Portuguese striker is always at his best and there is hardly any loss in form from his side. He also went onto praise Ronaldo’s fitness.

Despite only winning two of their five games in 2015, Ancelotti didn’t refrain from showing his optimism. He said, “Ronaldo is always at his peak, I have not seen any deterioration in him.” He added, “It's true he hasn't scored in a couple of games recently, but his physical and mental condition is always maximum”.

“I can explain to you how we work with all the players: they do pool work with cold and hot water. I think Ronaldo does more work on his own at home and you also have to take into account his genetic make-up."

The Los Blancos currently lead the La Liga standings by a single point over arch-rivals Barcelona, but have a game in hand as well.

Ancelotti went onto speak about his predecessor, Jose Mourinho’s tenure at the club. He harped on the fact that Mourinhio didn’t leave the club on bad terms.

“When I came here I didn't hear a bad word about him. I don't what happened with the players when he was here. When I arrived another cycle began and the other one is forgotten."

He added, “Don't know Mourinho's methods particularly well. He works in the same way that I do. We work a lot with the ball.” Ancelotti also stated that the club is not dwelling in the past anymore.

Also, speaking on Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness, he said, “I say the same thing as I said to the squad, that Ronaldo is always at his peak."
