Paris, Oct 22 (IANS) Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was all praise for Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani, who scored in his side's battling 1-0 away win over APOEL Nicosia.

With three minutes remaining in the Champions League clash in Cyprus, Cavani converted the match-winning goal Tuesday night, to keep Laurent Blanc's team a point clear of Barcelona at the top of Group F, reports Xinhua. The goal was display of the forward's pace, power, strength and determination but it was the celebration afterwards that caught the most attention.

Al-Khelaifi was clearly very happy with the three points.

"It is always complicated to play here," he said while being interviewed by Canal Plus Wednesday. "It was a difficult game and it was important to get the three points because this way we can stay on top of the group."

The PSG supremo deemed a fit squad the reason for Tuesday's victory.

"Everybody is available now and we have Cavani, who proved that he is the best striker in the world," he said.
