According to reports, Chelsea striker Fernando Torres could return to his boyhood club Atletico Madrid this summer.

The Spanish club reportedly spent several days in London trying to negotiate a deal to see Torres back at the Vicente Calderon. The Blues have asked Atletico to pay £13 million.

According to Eurosport, Ateltico’s CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin sent a delegate to discuss the possibility of a transfer. He will return to Madrid today to continue working on the deal.

Chelsea have already raided Atletico for striker Diego Costa and left back Filipe Luis.

They are also trying to bring in defenderJoao Miranda as part of the Torres deal, but Atletico have stood firm on his buyout clause of €30 million.

The Blues are also reportedly interested in bringing back Didier Drogba as a player-coach on a one-year deal.
